Lately, it seems like our world is bringing us nothing, but pain. From natural disasters, political warfare and potential cross sea threats to now senseless mass shootings. Last night, in Las Vegas a mass shooting took place during a country music festival. A shooter armed with over 10 firearms started firing into the crowd from the 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay, spraying bullets into the thousands and thousands of concert spectators, killing or injuring hundreds. The shooter was identified as 64-year-old Stephen Craig Paddock, of Mesquite, Nevada, who was found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. With more than 50 fatalities and 500 injuries, it is the deadliest mass shooting in the history of the United States. The horrific act has been claimed to be a senseless attack with no inspiration from a terror group, but just an act driven by one man’s pure evil. There have been a few claims of ISIS groups claiming the act as one of their own, but there has been no confirmation or proof of that statement. All we know is that we all have heavy hearts today, thinking and praying for all the families and victims that were apart of last nights horrific acts. We do not have words to describe of what those people must have went through.
Why does pure evil like this exist? We don’t believe, we will ever find out why some people have so much hate in their hearts to kill innocent people. We hope that everyone in the vegas area can help where they can, especially with donating blood to the victims that need it. Let this horrific act bring this country together, and lets not turn this into a political finger pointing game like it seems it always turns into. Lets rise together as a nation and stay strong. #prayforvegas #AmericanStrong
